The important thing to remember is that happiness is within your control, based on choosing those thoughts and activities that will lead to this outcome. Living in the moment, rather than fretting over the past or worrying about the future, helps.

I'm frustrated that we don't seem to be getting anywhere with our house building plans (struggling to create a happy ending here at present) but going out walking in today's beautiful Greek sunshine and seeing all the flowers blooming on this February day, brings the smile straight back, and makes me appreciative of what nature so selflessly gives.

My question of life was always one thing. How to be happy? I still dont know yet. Is it possible that some people are just doomed for life to be unhappy?

Another thing I would add to the list is relax. I suppose this goes along with reflect on the good but I mean just relax and meditate for a while. Good post.

The first email I read this morning was from a friend who was up early, struggling over a first time assingment on her job. This was my reply:

xxxxx

When I saw your email in the box, and it was not a forward, I immediately looked at the time and wondered what was troubling you so early in the morning! A-ha!

You will do just fine. Everything is scary until we do it, then we do it without having to think about it. How great an idea - habit. A God-thing, for sure.

Can you imagine feeling the way you do this morning every single time you had to drive somewhere in the car? (Me, neither!)

Talk with you soon.

xxxxx

The NEXT email I opened was yours, about the 7 HABITS of Happy People.

I'm listening, I'm listening.

Thanks for being the messenger this morning.

Great post...I learned something when I was 17 from Jim Rohn a speaker and philosopher who my father for some reason paid for me to go see for about 500 bucks. Okay so here is what I learned...We all have a choice on how we feel about things, and when you understand what your choices are and your make the right choices, a lot of things just simply don't bother much. And then when you choose instead to be happy, you are!
It is funny I guess, but I became a much happier person once I realized it was my choice to be.

Sweep anything negative that comes at you as a step under you and just let those steps build your way up to success and happiness.
