How More Money Leads to Happiness

Life is too short not to enjoy it.  If you have children, you know how quickly they grow up and how much you want to enjoy that time as much as possible.  This can be very difficult if you are working 40 hours a week or more.  On top of that, you are probably often too tired to do extracurricular activities and find it easier to crash in front of the TV.

As you can see, having a greater income affects every aspect of our lives.  Struggling to the pay the bills can add unnecessary stress.  The solution is to find additional sources of income … and several of them.  Eventually they could support you enough to quit your day job.

Preferred income sources are those that require the least amount of your time.  For each one, always keep track of your time and figure out how much you are making per hour.  If the source is the same or less than your day job, then dump it.  The only exception is if you are using the extra money to start another source of funds that might be more profitable and require less time to support.

They say money can’t buy happiness … but I disagree.  Money can buy us more free time, more leisure activities, better health, more romance, and stronger relationships, which all lead to more happiness.

[...] Money and happiness are two of the most powerful forces in our lives, but what’s so interesting to me is how we’ve convinced ourselves that there’s a powerful connection between them: We seem to think that if we were rich, our lives would be perfect. My friends, I hope I can convince you otherwise. [...]
