How More Leisure Leads to Better Health

Good health is a combination of many factors, and a lack of leisure time can affect both the physical and mental aspects of our lives.  Usually it will affect our mental health first, then after a while chronic stress will break down our defenses and affect our physical health.

Stress can aggravate an existing condition or trigger a new health problem.  The key is to recognize stress early before any physical health issues can occur.  Leisure activities are both a preventative measure against stress as well as a treatment for it.

One thing you need to be aware of during your leisure time is what and when you eat.  It is very easy to sit and eat when we are bored or have nothing going on at the time.

Leisure time does not always mean sitting and doing nothing.  Leisure means enjoying activities that take our minds off the sometimes-stressful world we live in.
