Better Health Leads to Better Romance
Lack of romance is not always due to lack of desire; it is often due to a lack of energy. It can be difficult to be romantic when you are worn out and tired all the time. As discussed earlier, being tired zaps creativity, which makes the situation worse. What you end up with is non-spontaneous romance … and little of it.
When you lack energy, you might find it difficult not to infect others with your dismal outlook. On the other hand, when you are full of energy, it is hard not to share it with others.
An obvious correlation is that better health usually coincides with being in better physical shape, helping to enhance your physical attractiveness. For example, if someone loses 30 pounds and becomes healthy and toned, his or her partner might feel a significant increase in physical attraction.
When people care about themselves, others take notice and they will hold that person in a higher level of regard than someone who is sloppy and unhealthy. What does this have to do with romance? Most people want to be with someone they respect and admire. People who take care of themselves, are confident, energetic, and willing to do the most to succeed in life will stimulate an attraction. That holds true in an existing relationship or for a single person looking to date.
In addition, people who are energetic and healthy will be more likely to take steps to be more romantic with their partner. When you are tired and listless, taking care of your own needs may be all you can handle. Trying to take care of someone else’s needs can seem like a burden. Again, this is not always due to a lack of love, but rather a lack of energy to do anything beyond the basics.
